The beautiful thing about Macs is there is virtually no maintenance. Every once in a while, a couple times a year maybe, the Disk Utility can be opened and run, but that’s about it.
To run the Disk Utility, simply click Go>Utilities>Disk Utility. Choose your hard drive from the left hand column. Make sure the First Aid tab is selected and click Verify Disk. Let it run. If there is anything to repair, click Repair Disk. That’s it.
