Chad and his wife Jamie have been married for over 30 years. They have four daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandsons. A native Hoosier, Chad was born and raised in Indiana. He attended schools in California and Illinois. Chad operated a monument engraving company for 9 years and worked in development at a non-profit for 12 years. He is a table tennis enthusiast and has read every Nero Wolfe mystery novel.
