Capacity #637

Happy Pi Day! This is your daily message from Chad number 637 and this message is dedicated to Raj Meena.

No not pie (P-I-E) day, but mathematical pi. Today is March 14th which 3.14 is the mathematical constant for the ratio of a circle’s circumference. Especially in the states where we numerically represent the month first, since March is the third month, 3/14 is called Pi Day. Pi can’t be reduced to a simple fraction, so the digits go on forever.

The world record for memorizing and reciting the most digits of π (pi) is held by Rajveer Meena from India. On March 21, 2015, at VIT University in Vellore, India, he recited 70,000 decimal places of π. This feat took him 9 hours and 7 minutes, and he performed it while blindfolded, with the achievement verified and documented by Guinness World Records.

Do you believe you have the same brain as Rajveer? Well you do. I’m not saying you should memorize 70k digits of Pi. Personally, that seems like a worthless pursuit. But, hey! whatever floats your boat! It does signify that remarkable capacity of your brain. Herbert Otto said, “we are all functioning at a small fraction of our capacity to live fully in its total meaning of loving, caring, creating and adventuring. Consequently the actualization of our potential can become the most exciting adventure of our lifetime.”

Your potential is for you to discover. You have capacities that are clamoring to be used as Abraham Maslow put it. Whether it’s putting more to memory, getting that project completed, or expanding your heart by an act of kindness, you have more in you. Your job is to find out what your capacity is.
