Your problem may not be your problem. This is your daily message from Chad number 591 and this message is dedicated to the wise and witty Arron Brockett.
You can go from fretting to letting go. Most of your problems stem from your grip on them. You’ve probably heard the story of the scientists in Africa who captured a monkey species using a trap with a jar and nuts. The monkeys would put their hand into the jar, and grab a fist full of nuts, but couldn’t withdraw them because the neck was too narrow. They were trapped, unwilling to let go of their prize.
When the scientists returned, they easily captured the monkeys. We may laugh at the monkeys, but we’re similar. We cling to what holds us back, unwilling to let go. We feel unjustly treated and hold onto grudges, like the monkey who never lets go of the nuts.
Your problem may be holding on to your problem.
