Attitude of Gratitude #465

Grab the gratitude pump. This is message 465 and this message is dedicated to Roy Bennett.

At the camp in Michigan I would take Bella and Mary there was no running water. There were water pumps in several locations though. It is the best-tasting water. First thing in the morning, if the pump had not been used, it would take several pumps to get the water to the surface.

Thankfulness works similarly. Sometimes you need to grab the handle and pump it up to the surface. Brian Cain had an acronym he calls a HAGL statement as a pump. It stands for “I have, I am, I give, I love”. What is something you already have you’re grateful for? If you aren’t grateful for what you already have what makes you think that you will be happy with more? What is something about you, who you are, you’re grateful for? What is something you give? What is something you love?

Pump the handle a few times and watch the gratitude flow.
