Colossians 4:4 -|- “…that I may make it (the mystery of Christ) clear, which is how I ought to speak.”

“Clear” is the word that stands out to me. That supposes that Paul understood there was a possibility of making the mystery of Christ UNclear.

I want to make the gospel clear in my mind, my affections, and my actions. It is unclear when I’m double minded (James 1:5-8). It is unclear when my heart is divided (Mt. 22:34-40). It is unclear when I live selfishly, self-servingly, greedily (Mt. 6:33).

Jesus, you were clear. No one mistook what you were about. Your innocence was confessed even by your enemies and mockers. Align my mind, heart, and actions with yours.
