Psalm 112:7-8, “He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.” When things don’t go right or a situation scares me, it’s so easy to become unstable and faithless. Faith should provide stability. This verse links firmness and steadiness to trust and fearlessness. This should be the bi-product of an ever growing dependency upon God.

I want to be stable and courageous. I want to trust only in You. Show me where I misplace my confidence in things other than You, help me dethrone them, and put You in Your rightful place-as Master of all in my life.
